Harsh, Himanshu & Dash

Harsh, Himanshu & Dash

It’s not a hidden fact that every Indian groove’s on Bollywood music and fusion numbers, tapping into them and tuning in your auto dance mode is common when a Bollywood hip hop, party song plays.

Similar was the case when on a walk with his wife in Christchurch, Dash Bedi decided to join a Bollywood themed party. Only to their disappointment, the event did not turn out to be like they had always seen or perhaps attended back home. It is then the couple decided to organise a party which would have the real feel of Bollywood music and a party spirit to die for!

Started in 2017, not called BollySphere then, it was just a private gathering that Dash initiated by invited his friends, he wanted to push his event management skills and take his love for Bollywood to a sphere which would get recognised in New Zealand. This project was equally supported by Himanshu Batra and Harshvardhan Jamba, business partners of BollySphere along with Dash Bedi.

2018 saw the first BollySphere banner party ‘The Debut’ in Christchurch. Simply after talking to each other that they need an exclusive night party for people and the aim to produce something classy prompted these three friends to tilt a little from their daily routine, as Dash is originally recruiter by profession, now based in Auckland, Himanshu a quantity surveyor and Harsh an engineer. The common theme between all three was good music and safe environment, like they wanted to create that not just in Christchurch but anywhere and everywhere they decide to take their event, that’s the ethos of the whole thing.

Other thing that these professionals had in their mind was introducing Bollywood fusion music amongst other culture people, while comparing Christchurch and Auckland. Auckland has more diversity, people are aware of other cultures and about each other. This is what they want to take with their event to not only Christchurch but other cities like Queenstown, Dunedin to name a few.

BollySphere is turning two on 21st Feb 2020, and its nostalgic for the whole team and crew as they never thought that they could pull of this entire idea till here. And to them it feels like they have just started it yesterday and have a long way to go. The entire team believes in constantly evolving, trying different things and bringing new elements. To this they have Fume, sister business to BollySphere which has much importance in the whole concept.

The future – keep expanding, and pampering guests with innovative partying ideas and concepts. When you ask them how do they deal with fierce competition around? “ We don’t take anything as competition, there are always other brands who do similar things as us, but we believe in figuring out what we thought was less with them and don’t want to repeat those mistakes, just give out the best!” says Harsh.

Dash likes to emphasize on the fact that they like to stick to their instinct and creativity, as he is a creative person by nature. The friends and family support, relations that were created during interactions in the party and a little personal touch is all that builds up BollySphere.

If you aren’t already mushed by all that this passionate team has to offer, then visiting them in their next gig should be on your priority list.
