One of the most revered saints of modern era and a scientist turned swami, Brahmrishi Swami Guruvanand is arriving in Auckland on a five-day visit on Thursday 27th February 2020. Swami ji coming on pacific tour of New Zealand, Australia and Fiji, starting his chain of discourses in Auckland. Gurudev has his programmes in Lautoka in Fiji and Sydney and Melbourne in Australia after he completes his New Zealand visit as per the convener of New Zealand World Spiritual Forum, Laxmi Jhunjhnuwala.

Born on January 12, 1941 in New Delhi, swami ji got influenced by the teachings of Swami Vivekanand and of Lord Mahavira at early age. Apart from his accomplishment in the sphere of spirituality Swami ji is also an academician par excellence. He is B.Sc. in Physics, B. Tech. from IIT Kharagpur. He has Master’s degree in Sanskrit, Vedas, Jyotish, Hindi, Vyakaran and a PhD. in Astrology. His pass out record from IIT Kharagpur of 99.7% is still unbeaten till today. Swami ji has won 7 Gold medals at All Religion World Parliament, a common platform for debate on religious ideas and a ‘Jyotish Murmagya’ awarded by German Astrological Society. Swami ji has also served as Principal and Professor at various colleges and universities including the prestigious Banaras Hindu University.

Swamiji is on a mission to reach out to as many people as possible to spread the message of awareness, self-realisation, humanity and peace. Swami ji possesses an exceptional knowledge of 27 kind of theories of Astrology. He has in-depth knowledge of Vedas, Ramayana, Gita, Upanishad, Puran, Aagam and various Jain and Hindu scriptures. Swami ji can recite all four Vedas by memory. Swami ji has travelled to over 170 countries to spread his message of awareness, tolerance and service to humanity.

Swami ji will be having two public programmes in Auckland, first one being at Sri Ram Mandir at Henderson on Saturday 29th February from 3 pm onward and at Bharatiya Mandir in Sandringham on Sunday 1st March from 3 pm onwards. Devotees coming to seek blessings from Swami ji and to listen to his discourse will be served free tea, snacks and food at both the venues as per the programme organisers.
