One of the mainstream New Zealand media, continues spreading falsehood vehemently, about Hinduism, Hindus in New Zealand, and the religious practices of India’s majority population despite of receiving warning signals of their mischievous acts now creating discord in the community.

In a yet another article by the same reporter, she continues spewing venom against the Hindu community in New Zealand and has tried painting the entire community as some monsters. Once again, this reporter has quoted some staged, fake narratives of a couple of gullible anti-Hindu and anti-India left leaning youngsters from the same Massey University, which has now become the centre of Hindu hate spread. The people mentioned in the article clearly appear to have been fed all the misinformation about Hindu religion and Hindus and then quoted it as their views and fears. The worst thing to happen in the whole event is the conspicuous silence of Massy university over the entire incident. This is despite of several Hindu organisations already complaining to the University over an anti-Hindu research paper published a few months ago, to demonise the entire community. Under the garb of free speech, the tirade against Hindus continues to create a Hindu phobia in the community. The way this media, academia and anti-India elements nexus is systematically operating in this country, it only confirms any doubts of some bigger and nefarious designs working behind the scenes, against Hindus and the Indian nation.

If this was not the case, why a mainstream media, New Zealand Herald would need to quote a small opinion piece published in The Indian News a few months ago, again and again. This reporter has once again mentioned the article published in The Indian News, in her latest pack of lies. This is their blatant effort to silence the community voice. A media house of NZ Herald’s stature needs to do a good background check of their reporters before getting them on board to assign them sensitive portfolios, unless their very appointment is done for this purpose, a la The New York Times.

The harsh reality this nexus miserably fails to recognise is, that India and its majority population are not the same anymore. They do not take any nonsense, anymore from anyone whether in India or in overseas. What publications like NZ herald do not want to understand, is that they are a very small entity to pose any challenge to Indians or to the Indian nation. Despite all the disparities, India is too big an economy, a civilisation, and a vibrant democracy to make any country of the world look pale, in comparison. Some people in NZ’s mainstream media very badly need to come out of their colonial hangover, otherwise these controversies will keep erupting every now and then. The actual target in this whole drama are not the Hindus but the Indian nation. Since Hindus represent the majority population of country, hence they are easy targets of India’s enemy countries and their stooges. Why otherwise these so-called researchers do not pick up any other religion of the world to express their freedom of speech or carry any research? They will never do it because then the world will come to know the truth of who the real devil is.

I am of the strong opinion that New Zealand cannot afford strained relations with the world’s emerging superpower, India, however hard some people may try. They are only wasting precious time and resources of people by picking on Hindus, who eventually will prove to be a looser in their endeavour. I strongly urge to both Indian and New Zealand governments to take a cognizance of the sinister designs of these enemies of humanity and act urgently on them before they succeed in making any damage to the communal harmony in New Zealand. Also, my earnest appeal to all the Hindus of the world to stay united, strong, and calm, true to the ethos of Hindu religion and not to fall to the trap of India’s enemies. They will all meet their natural fate; Karma will come back to them soon. – Yugal Parashar
